Frequently Asked Questions:

1. Is the timber treated?

If you are buying fencing timber then yes, all our timber is pressure treated in Tanilth E quite often referred to as tantalised. The only exception to this is our garden buildings, sheds are dip treated in a water based preservative. The log-cabins are un-treated with an option of a dip treatment available.

2. Do you deliver?

Yes, we deliver to most areas. If you wish to know what it will cost simply enter your postcode in the box at the bottom of the page.

3. How long will I have to wait for my delivery?

Delivery times vary throughout the year. In the busy periods (March through June) this can be up to two weeks, however generally we try to work on somewhere between 2 and 5 days. On sheds, lead times can be from two to four weeks, and on cabins up to eight.

4. Can I choose my delivery time?

Although we can give you a delivery day, we cannot guarantee a delivery time. If you wish to find out an approximate delivery time, call us on the morning of the delivery and we will be able to narrow the time down.

5. Will you deliver to my back garden?

No, we deliver to the nearest point off the road. Please ensure you have the necessary ability and equipment (if required) to move the items into your property.

6. Can I collect from a local store?

Yes, please feel free. If you order on-line then simply choose the collection option at checkout. Then simply choose the nearest store to you.

7. If I over-order can I return items?

Yes, as long as you retain your receipt you can return items, providing they are still in the same condition as they left the yard. A re-stocking fee may apply depending on the items. If you need them collected, we charge a collection charge at the same price as delivery.

8. What are your opening hours?

All branches vary when they are open, click on store locator to find out your nearest branch's opening hours. If collecting an item from your local branch you must arrive 15 minutes before closing.

9. Do you make anything bespoke?

We can make bespoke panels and trellis in the traditional designs, this is at a small premium. Please call your local branch to discuss your needs further.

10. Do you erect fencing as well as sell it?

We do not, but you could ask at your local branch for recommended and trusted local contractors. However, all dealings with a third party are in no way related or tied to Fence Stores Ltd.

11. Do you offer any Guarantee?

We do not, but if a product is faulty we will happily replace this. However, we cannot be held responsible or liable for any subsequent works relating from this.
