4. Important Customer Information for Gate Purchase and Hanging:

Prior to hanging they need to be treated or painted with a product that locks out moisture. If the gate is untreated it must not come into contact with any moisture prior to treatment.
Some minor distortion and cracking may happen, this is due to climatic change and that timber is a totally natural product. This does not affect the structural integrity of the gate and will not be classed as defective.
When hanging the following must be used; On a pair two drop bolts, a top and mid slide bolt (brenton bolt), gate stops and a centre slam strip. On a single gate; a gate stop and both a bottom and top sliding bolt. Failure to correctly hang the gate using the above recommended fittings can lead to movement in the timber and therefore twist and or drop. The Fencing Centre will hold no liability for damage caused due to the incorrect hanging and fixing.
When ordering gates 50mm thick over 1.8m or 70mm thick over 2m the Fencing Centre does not guarantee that no movement will occur and in ordering over said sizes a disclaimer must be signed to confirm that you (the customer) is happy to proceed with purchasing in a size where you have been advised there is a chance that there will be some movement, twisting or drop.

5. Currency and tax charges:

All payments will be taken in sterling and will be inclusive of Vat at the rate of 20%.

The majority of our products are manufactured from Timber which is a natural product and so is subject to some movement and cracking. Slight movement and cracking will not be regarded as faulty. If that particular product is no longer fit for its intended use than we will be more than happy to replace it. Pressure treated products dry to a pale green colour however this colour can vary a lot according to species of timber and weather conditions. Variations in colour are not regarded as being faulty.
